BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second straight week, the King University women's track and field team has had the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rookie of the Week. This week, Ebony Jones earned that distinction after her performance at the Wake Forest Invitational.
In her second career meet, the Farmville, Va., native extended her personal best long jump, leaping more than 5.00 meters for the first time in her career. Jones posted a mark of 5.03 meters to finish 13th at the Wake Forest Invitational in a field that had numerous NCAA Division I athletes. She also competed in the 200 meter dash, coming in with a time of 28.34 seconds.
The Tornado are in action again on February 3-4 at the Buccaneer Classic host by ETSU in Johnson City, Tenn.
