Another school record falls to Henry

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The King University women's track and field team competed at East Tennessee State University's 36th annual Niswonger Invitational on Friday and Saturday, and Maegan Henry continued to rewrite the King record book. Eliza Parker turned in a solid performance for King, taking a top-10 finish in the 3,000 meter run. She finished ninth with a personal record time of 10:48.49. Carly Griffith nearly set a person best in the 800, coming within on second with her time of 2:34.56.

Tia Nelson also had a good weekend for the Tornado, posting a personal record in the 60 meter dash, and nearly setting another in the 200 meter dash. Her 60 meter dash time of 8.24 seconds was 0.09 second faster than her previous best, and her 200 meter time of 26.94 seconds was just more than one second of her personal record pace.
