GAFFNEY, S.C. – The King University women's tennis team faced off against Conference Carolinas opponent Limestone College on Saturday afternoon. The Tornado fell behind early as Limestone took the dual 9-0.

  • The Saints grabbed the lead by taking all three doubles matches. The Tornado duo of Marianne Hull and Katya Cerny fell to Hannah Hopkins and Camille Haus 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.
  • Catherine Vezey played a tough match at No. 2 singles, falling to Ana Chirila 6-3, 6-3.
  • At No. 1 singles, Alexandra Boulbin topped Hull 6-2, 1-0.


  • King will be in action again on Saturday when they stay on the road to face Emmanuel College. The Conference Carolinas dual is slated for 1:00 p.m.
  • Limestone takes on Pfeiffer University on Saturday.
