King falls to Wofford in Exhibition

SPARTANBURG, S.C.– The King University women's tennis team started their spring season with an exhibition at Wofford College on Sunday afternoon.  The Terriers took the exhibition 7-0 on their home court.

  • Wofford won by default in the No. 3 flight, and took the first and second flight 6-0 each.
  • For the Tornado in singles, top flight Marianne Hull fell to Catherine Martin 6-3, 6-3.
  • In the No. 4 singles, Haley Maloney dropped a 6-2, 6-0 decision to Annie Mayfield.


  • King is in action again on February 16 when they travel to take on Erskine College. The match is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm
  • Wofford next takes on Charleston Southern University on Saturday.
