King falls to Limestone 9-0

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team took to the court on Tuesday for the first time in two weeks when the hosted Limestone College. The Saints came out and set the tone early in their 9-0 Conference Carolinas victory.

The Saints (7-5, 5-1 CC) took all three doubles matches, but the due of Mariana Hosomi and Naomi Reyes put up a fight at No. 2 doubles. The duo fell to Marian Pinate and Jessica Martinez 8-6.

The match didn't improve for King (7-10, 2-5 CC) in singles play as Limestone continued to roll. Katya Cerny dropped a tough 6-2, 6-1 decision to Alexandra Boulbin at No. 1 singles, and Claudia Morris fell 6-3, 6-2 to Martinez at No. 5 singles.

King will be in action again when they host Barton College on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
