UNC Asheville defeats King

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The King University women's tennis team jumped out-of-conference to face a tough test at UNC Asheville. Playing the doubles point as one point, the Bulldogs took the 7-0 after sweeping singles play.

UNC Asheville (12-9) won both doubles matches 8-0 and 8-1 to take the doubles point. The then defeated the Tornado (0-16) 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Mariana Hosomi fell 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles to Emily McNall. The Bulldog took the final two singles matches 6-0, 6-1, and 6-0, 6-0 to sweep the match.

The Tornado return to Conference Carolinas play this weekend when they host Queens University (N.C.) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. King then hosts Belmont Abbey College on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
