Lady Tornado Dropped by Valkyries

 

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – King College took to the road for a matchup against the Converse College Valkyries. The Tornado were downed, 6-1, and fall to 2-10 on the season.

In single competition, Sarah Anderson fought her way to a pair of 6-2 losses against Raissa Olmos Morandi, though Converse proved to be too much across the board, taking the remaining matches by large margins.  Anderson and Eden Sherrod competed together in doubles and went the distance with Morandi and Marisa Esformes, but lost 8-6.

King falls to 2-10 overall, 0-5 in Conference Carolinas play. They return to their home court along with the men's team against Mount Olive. The first matches will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31.
