Tornado compete in second day of Fall Frenzy Invite

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The King University women's swimming team competed in the second day of the Fall Frenzy Invitational Saturday night. The entire team swam hard throughout the day and Macarena Martin set a new school record in the 400 yard individual medley.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Martin set the school record for the 400 yard individual medley with her time of 4:43.22.
  • Martin held the previous school record with a time of 4:43.42.

  • "Another great night of racing for King Swimming led by Macarena Martin, as she set a school record and scored big points.  We also had more swimmers doing lifetime best times.  Great fight and teamwork on the relays from the team tonight as well" said head coach James Graves.

  • King will not be back in action until January 12 when they host Mars Hill and Emory & Henry at Virginia High School at 6:00 pm.
