BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College maintained a total of 18 Top-10 times within the newest Appalachian Swimming Conference Top Times list, the organization announced.
The women's swimming squad totaled seven individual Top-10 times with three from the Tornado. Both the men's and women's teams had four relay times in the Top-10 each.
Kelsey Wiese (Gallatin, Tenn.) swam to four Top-10 times herself, the 50-yard freestyle, 100 free, 50 back and 100 back. Her highest ranking was No. 3 in the 100 back with the fourth fastest 50 back time. Emily Vaughn (Johnson City, Tenn.) held onto two Top-10 marks, the 50 and 100 back, with Michelle Donihe among the fastest 10 in the 1,650 freestyle.
The highest ranked Tornado individual was Alek Nochowicz (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) in sixth in the 1,650 freestyle. Wayne Oliver (Bristol, Tenn.) has the other two individual times, the 100 fly and 50 free, both the 10th best marks.
The Lady Tornado owns fifth in both the 200 and 400 freestyle relay standings with seventh and ninth in the 400 and 200 medley, respectively.
The Tornado swam to sixth in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays with seventh in the 400 medley and eighth in the 200 medley relay standings.
The last time King swam was on Nov. 20 when the men's and women's teams picked up wins at Warren Wilson (N.C.) College. The next time in the pool for the Tornado and Lady Tornado will be at home against Mars Hill (N.C.) College on Jan. 22.
