BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College owns 15 Top-10 marks within the Appalachian Swimming Conference Top Times list, the organization announced before the conference championship this weekend.
The Lady Tornado had eight of the Top-10 times while the Tornado collected seven.
The highest places were obtained by Kelsey Wiese (Gallatin, Tenn.) who had third in the 100-yard backstroke and fourth in the 50 backstroke. Emily Vaughan (Johnson City, Tenn.) also had two Top-10 times in the same two events.
New on the men's side were David Edney (Hiwassee, Va.) and his No. 6 ranking in the 1-meter dive rankings. Edney scored 114.20 points in the event. Wayne Oliver (Bristol, Tenn.) and Alek Nochowicz (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) were both No. 10 in their respective events, Oliver in the 100 butterfly and Nochowicz in the 1,650 freestyle.
Both the men's and women's teams had four relay times in the Top-10. The highest ranking for a Lady Tornado relay team was No. 5 in the 200 freestyle while the Tornado
King will be a part of the ASC Championship Friday and Saturday in Athens, Ohio.
