Women's Soccer Watches USA National Team Play in Nashville

Last Wednesday, February 13, the King women's soccer program took a trip to Nashville to watch the USA Women's National Team take on Scotland.  The game was played at LP Field, the home of the Tennessee Titans, as part of the 2013 USA Women's National Team exhibition tour.  The USA came out victorious, 3-1.

King Head Coach Simon Duffy commented, "This was a brilliant opportunity for our girls to see the highest level of women's soccer in the world.  It was some of the girls' first professional women's game and I think they all were delighted that we took the time to head to Nashville and take in the game."

Assistant coach Danny McBride also commented, "Apart from the fact that Scotland got defeated, the game was a good time for us all! Opportunities like these don't come around often, so we were definitely thankful that we got to go."

The Lady Tornado will continue to prepare for their 2013 spring games, which will be played on on March 28, April 6, April 13 and April 17.  King will round out the spring season on April 20 as they take on the King Alumni at 1:30pm as part of the annual Dogwood weekend celebrations.
