GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College's Abbey Kitts was selected to the 2010 NCCAA Women's Soccer Division I All-Tournament team, as the national office released the entire squad.
Kitts, a junior goalkeeper from Tazewell, Va., started and played all 270 minutes for King in the three matches at the NCCAA nationals. She started with seven saves against top-seed Spring Arbor (Mich.) University. The next day she helped King advance with a shutout over Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) University with four saves. In the fifth-place match against Dallas Baptist (Texas) University, she had a total of eight saves.
In all she had 19 saves in the three NCCAA matches with a goals against average of 2.00 and save percentage of .800.
King ended the season sixth with an 8-14 record and the Lady Tornado won the NCCAA Mid-East region championship to qualify for nationals.
