BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second time this year, the King University men's wrestling team has the Eastern College Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Month. Bryce Killian advanced to his second straight NCAA Division II Men's Wrestling Championships to earn co-honors this week with Blaze Shade of UNC Pembroke.
At the NCAA Super Region II Championships, Killian went 3-1 to finish runner-up and clinch his second straight NCAA Men's Wrestling Championships berth. Seeded sixth, Killian defeated fourth-ranked Trey Grine of Tiffin 2-1 in the semifinals before falling to second-ranked, and second seeded Nick Crume of Indianapolis 5-0. Killian started the day with a 10-1 major decision over third seeded Josh Wimer of Findlay. For the second straight year, Killian has qualified for the NCAA Championships, only the third wrestler in school history to make two trips to the NCAA Championships.
Killian along with Dustin Kirk will be in action at the NCAA Division II Men's Wrestling Championships in March 10-11 in Birmingham, Ala.
