BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's wrestling team hosted their final dual of the season, squaring off with Limestone College in and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) tilt. The Saints took the early lead, and didn't look back, taking the dual 34-10.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Tornado forfeited at 125 pounds, giving Limestone the early lead.
  • Limestone then took a 7-3 decision at 133 pounds and a narrow 3-1 decision with a takedown in the second period at 141 pounds.
  • Ethyn Ewing got King on the board at 149 pounds when he took a major decision from Nick Leitten, 15-4 to cut the Tornado deficit to 12-4.
  • However, Limestone stretched their advantage to 24-4 with back-to-back pins at 157 and 165 pounds.
  • At 174 pounds, Joey Mammolenti tried to get King going with a pin of Matthew Ostermiller in 2:05.
  • Nevertheless, Limestone took the final three bouts, taking the dual 34-10.

  • King takes on 23rd-ranked UNC Pembroke on Monday night in the final dual of the season. The dual is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.
