Kirk moves up in national rankings, King receives votes

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's wrestling team continues to stay near the national rankings as they received votes for the fourth straight D2Wrestle.com poll. Dustin Kirk moved up to fourth in the latest rankings at 133 pounds.

Since the last poll, King defeated Coker College 44-6 in an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) dual and then knocked off 23rd-ranked Tiffin University 30-16 at the Super Region II Duals. The Tornado then fell to seventh-ranked University of Findlay.

In the individual rankings, Kirk moved up to fourth as he boasts a 15-7 record on the season. Kirk has won his last five matches, including a 6-5 decision over Devin Rogers of Findlay. He also defeated Matthew Kieta of Coker 7-3 since the last poll.

King is in action again on Thursday night at 16th-ranked Newberry College. The ECAC dual is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
