King prepares for top foes at Super Region I Duals

BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King College men's wrestling team will be a part of this weekend's Super Region I Duals at UNC Pembroke as the Tornado will wrestle against two Top-15 squads.

On Friday King starts against Super Region II foe St. Andrews Presbyterian (N.C.) University at 6 p.m. The Tornado was ranked No. 6 in the last region ranking while St. Andrews was No. 13. After that King has an 8 p.m. contest with No. 15 West Liberty (W.Va.) University.

The Tornado has a 1 p.m. match with No. 6 Pitt-Johnstown to open action on Saturday. The final match for King will be at 3 p.m. against Shippensburg (Pa.) University. Shippensburg has a No. 11 ranking in the region entering the event.

King will take a 3-1 dual match record into the weekend of action. The last time the Tornado wrestled was at the Virginia Duals Jan. 7-8 where the team took home second place thanks to a 2-1 record.
