King places four in top 10, takes 2nd at Conference Carolinas Championships
BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The King University women’s golf team held the lead after each of the first two rounds, but they couldn’t hold the lead on the final day has the finish second to Limestone College. The Tornado carded a final round score of 317 to complete the tournament with a score of 943. King did place four golfers in the top 10 and were led by senior Anna Walker.

Tornado trio selected All-Conference Carolinas
BRISTOL, Tenn. – At Tuesday night’s banquet at the Conference Carolinas Championship, the league announced their all-conference award winners and the King University women’s golf team had three members honored by the league. Both Elizabeth Swallow and Samantha Taylor garnered second team all-conference and Nicola Robertson was selected to the league’s third team.

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The heavy that fell at the Bryan Park Champions Course on Sunday didn’t faze the King University women’s golf team as they posted the lowest score in the Conference Carolinas Championship opening round. The Tornado posted a first round score of 312 and were led by Nicola Robertson’s 77.

Tornado finish second at the Agnes McAmis Memorial
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The King University women's golf team came into the second round of the Agnes McAmis Memorial with a seven stroke lead on the field. However, King shot 322 in the second round, bringing their tournament total of 633 as they finished second behind Lander University who shot 307 in the second round and 627 on the tournament.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The King University women’s golf team continued their hot play this spring by firing a 317 in the first round of the Wingate Lady Bulldog Invitational. That score lands the Tornado atop the leaderboard, one stroke clear of second place Limestone College going into Tuesday’s final round. Elizabeth Swallow and Nicola Robertson led King and are in second and fourth place, respectively.

Swallow named Conference Carolinas Golf of the Month
BRISTOL, Tenn. – After winning her first tournament of the season, King University’s Elizabeth Swallow was named Conference Carolinas Women’s Golfer of the Month. The junior led won the Hilton Head Lake Invitational, defeating Laura Bird on the fourth playoff hole.

Swallow wins, Tornado take second at Hilton Head Lakes Invite
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Coming into the final round of the Hilton Head Lakes Invitational, the King University women's team was in second place, but within striking range of the leaders. The Tornado couldn't catch UNC Pembroke, finishing second after shooting 308 in the final round and 615 for the tournament. However, Elizabeth Swallow made up three strokes and won the tournament outright on the fourth playoff hole.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Coming off a tournament win their last time out, the King University women’s golf team continued their stellar play this spring in the first round of the Hilton Head Lake Invitational. The Tornado carded 307 in the first round, placing the Tornado second in the 19-team field. Elizabeth Swallow led the Tornado and is currently in second with one round remaining.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Due to snow, the second round of the Converse Invitational has been canceled, meaning the King University women's golf team earned their second victory of the season with a score of 314. Nicola Robertson was the individual medalist and Elizabeth Swallow finished second.

Taylor, Thorpe earn Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors
BRISTOL, Tenn. –For the first time in her career, Samantha Taylor has earned Conference Carolinas Women’s Golfer of the Month honors. In King University’s final tournament of the fall, the redshirt freshman led the Tornado to an 11th place finish at the very competitive Saint Leo Invitational. Women’s soccer player Rachel Thorpe was also honored by the conference, earning her second play of the week honor this season.

Tornado close fall by taking 11th at Saint Leo Invite
DADE CITY, Fla. – The King University women’s golf team closed their fall schedule with a solid performance against some of the best competition in the country. King finished the Saint Leo Invitational in 11th against a field that featured seven top-25, and three top-10 teams in the GolfStat rankings. The Tornado carded a 325 in the second round to finish with a tournament total of 645 to finish ahead of two fellow Conference Carolinas schools at the tournament.

Swallow finishes 24th at NCAA South Regional
DADE CITY, Fla. – The season may have come to an end, but Elizabeth Swallow capped a magnificent sophomore campaign with a 24th place finish at the NCAA South Regional Championship. Swallow, who is the first women’s golfer to qualify for an NCAA South Regional, ended the three round tournament with a score of 231 after carding a 78 in the final round on Tuesday.

DADE CITY, Fla. – Elizabeth Swallow made King University history on Sunday as she became the first Tornado women’s golfer to appear in the NCAA South Regional Championship. Swallow earns an individual place in NCAA South Regional
BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University women’s golfer Elizabeth Swallow has had an incredible sophomore campaign, which will continue for at least one more week. On Monday, the NCAA announced its field of the upcoming NCAA Women’s Golf Championships, and Swallow earned one of four individual spots in the South Region. With the selection, she becomes the first King women’s golfer to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament since the school became NCAA members in 2010-11.

Three Tornado named WCGA All-Academic Scholars
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Earlier this month, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WCGA) announced their All-American Scholars for the 2012-13 school year. Of the 644 student-athletes named to the list, which encompasses NCAA Divisions I-III and the NAIA, three King University women’s golfers earned the distinction. Esther Gandarias, Elizabeth Swallow and Anna Walker all earned All-American Scholar status by the WCGA.
