AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The King University women’s golf team moved up the leaderboard on Tuesday, finishing 10th in the final tournament of the fall, the Flagler College Fall Slam. The Tornado shot 317 in the final round for a total of 641 and were led by Daphne Chang.

Nicola Robertson had the round of the day for the Tornado shooting a one-under to place sixth.

King finished second with a tournament total of 611 after shooting 306 in the second round and were led by Fiona Hebbel who finished third.

The Tornado shot 634, including a second round of 312 to take second, and were led by Fiona Hebbel who took second.

    Swallow one of two ConfCarolinas nominees for NCAA Woman of the Year BRISTOL, Tenn. – Elizabeth Swallow has concluded her women's golf career at King University, but she is still collected awards. The NCAA announced their conference nominees for Woman of the Year, and Swallow is one of 142 female student-athletes that was nominated.

    Tornado have four recognized as WGCA All-American Scholars BRISTOL, Tenn. – Earlier this week the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced their All-American Scholars and four King University women’s golfers were honors. In all, 828 women’s golfers were recognized with Autumn Bergendahl, Daphne Chang, Elizabeth Swallow and Nicola Robertson earning the distinction for King.

Moritz Poswiat was the league’s selection for men’s tennis and Elizabeth Swallow earns her second straight Conference Carolinas Scholar Athlete of the Year honors in women’s golf.

The Tornado moved up the leaderboard, finishing forth with a tournament score of 948. King was led by top 10 performances from Samantha Taylor and Elizabeth Swallow.

The conference and its member institutions stress the importance of "Academics and Athletics Working Together" and the student-athletes named to Academic All-Conference teams are those who best represent this value. Two member from each the King University women’s and men’s golf teams have been recognized among the lists of 18 athletes.

This year Elizabeth Swallow of the King University women’s golf team is one of the finalists for this prestigious honor.

King was only four shots off the champion, and were led by Elizabeth Swallow who finished second.

    King sets program best, puts 3 in top 5 at Pfeiffer Invite HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Following a record setting performance on Monday, the King University women’s golf team turned in another solid performance on Tuesday at the Pfeiffer Invitational. The Tornado finished third with a total of 608, following their second round total of 308. King had a trio finish in a tie for fifth, led by Nicola Robertson, who posted five straight birdies in the middle of Tuesday’s round.

She shot 146 for the tournament while the Tornado finished with a 302 in the second day for a total of 629.

    Four Tornado selected WGCA All-American Scholars BRISTOL, Tenn. – Earlier this month the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced their All-American Scholars and of the 758 golfers recognized, four were from King University. Both Elizabeth Swallow and Anna Walker earned the distinction for the second straight year while Cortnee Young and Nicola Robertson were recognized for the first time.

    Martin, Swallow selected Conference Carolinas Scholar Athletes of the Year BRISTOL, Tenn. – At the conclusion of the spring season, Conference Carolinas has announced their Scholar Athletes of the Year for the spring sports. King University student-athletes Elizabeth Swallow and Alex Martin earned the award first time in their careers. Swallow garnered the distinction in women’s golf and Martin earned the selection in baseball.

The awards were announced on Thursday, and the junior took honors in the at-large division for the second straight year.

The Tornado carded a final round score of 317 to complete the tournament with a score of 943. King did place four golfers in the top 10 and were led by senior Anna Walker.
