Tornado in second after one round at King Invite

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's golf team opened their home tournament with a solid round.  At the King University Invitational, the Tornado are second of eight teams with a one round score of 314. Nicola Robertson leads not only the Tornado after one round, but the entire field as she is currently in first place.

COURSE DETAILS: par 71, 5852 yards

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Robertson shot one-over par with a 72 in the opening round which put her at the top of the leaderboard.
  • Samantha Taylor was next for the Tornado shooting three-over par with a 74. She currently sits in fourth place overall in the tournament.
  • Not far behind was Roxane Notaf with a score of 76. She finishes the day in sixth place overall.
  • Finishing the day for King was Autumn Bergendahi with a 92 and Morgan Powers with a 93. Bergendahi is currently in 35th place and Powers sits at 39th.
  • As it stands after round one, three of King's five participants are in the top 10.

FOR THE FOES

  • Carson-Newman College leads the tournament with a one round score of 310.

  • The tournament concludes with the final round on Tuesday at Bristol Country Club.
