King leads, Robertson in 2nd after conference championship 1st round

SNOW HILL, N.C. – Following the first round of the Conference Carolinas Championship, the King University women's golf team leads with a score of 304. Nicola Robertson leads the Tornado as she is in second place with two rounds remaining.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Robertson shot an even-par round of 72 in the opening round to lead the Tornado and land her in second place.
  • Samantha Taylor shot 76 while Daphne Chang carded 77 in the opening round.
  • Fiona Hebbel and Emilie Olstad rounded out the team with rounds of 79 and 80, respectively.

FOR THE FOES

  • King is tied for the lead with the University of Mount Olive with a score of 304.
  • Limestone College is in third at 305.
  • Kaitlyn Gribbon of Belmont Abbey College leads the Tournament with a score of one-under 71.
