Swallow leads King in Lady Flames Shootout first round

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – In their final tournament of the fall, the King University women's golf team carded a score of 352 in the first round of the Lady Flames Shootout, hosted by Lee University. Elizabeth Swallow led King with a first round score of 80.

Swallow improved upon her front nine score of 43 with a 37 on the back nine to finish with an 80. The sophomore is currently in fifth place, seven shots behind the leader. Cortnee Young is in 15th after shooting an 84 in the first round. Young carded a 43 on the front, and followed it with a 41 on the back nine.

Anna Walker came in next with a 93 while Kerby Jones and Karissa King rounded out the squad with scores of 95 and 97, respectively.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tenn.
