GREENVILLE, Tenn. – The King University women's golf team returned to action on Monday, and posted 328 in the first round of the Agnes McAmis Memorial, hosted by Tusculum College. Esther Gandarias led the Tornado, and is four shots out of first place after the first day.
Gandarias carded a 33 on front nine, and finished with a three-over 75 to lead King and place her in fourth place. Elizabeth Swallow followed her with a 79.
King is in 11th place of 17 teams with a total of 328, but the Tornado are only seven strokes behind fourth place Lincoln Memorial University. Lander University and Tusculum are tied for lead at 310.
The two round tournament will conclude tomorrow in Greenville.
