GREENVILLE, Tenn. – King Women's Golf ended its first day at the 13th annual Agnes McAmis Memorial Golf Invitational held at Link Hills Country Club (Greenville, Tenn.). The Lady Tornado finished 14th overall on the 5,832-yard, par 72 layout.
King (334) ended day one 14th overall in the field of 18 teams, finishing in front of Conference Carolinas schools Belmont Abbey (351) and Limestone (363). Esther Gandarias and Anna Walker each finished with first round scores of 80 to take a tie of 39th place over. Walker also shared the lead for top scoring on par-3 holes with a 2.75 (-1) average score.
Host Tusculum College leads the tournament after day one action with a team score of 291, seven strokes ahead of second place Lincoln Memorial University. Lander's Rachel Uremovich topped the individual charts with a three-under, 69.
The final round will resume Tuesday morning and conclude in the afternoon. Admission to Link Hills Country Club (Greenville, Tenn.) is free to the public.
