King gets low scores in opening round

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - A season-best 363 was what the King College women's golf team fired in the opening round of the Tusculum Fall Golf Classic Monday.

Manda Minor (Bluff City, Tenn.) led the King charge with an 86 which is a season best for the senior. Chelsea Gammon (Blountville, Tenn.) and Malorie McBride (Brentwood, Tenn.) both posted rounds of 90 while Kerby Jones added a 97.

The Lady Tornado fired a team score of 363. The opening round was the best team score of the 2010 season which was lower than a 376 in the final round of the Pfeiffer Falcon Cup a week ago.  It was also the first time King has been under 370 as a team in the last two seasons.
