Deans (Greeneville, Tenn.) averaged 17.0 points in the Lady Tornado's three games. She started with 20 in the first two games before an 11-point effort Sunday. For the week she was 15-for-31 (.484 pct.) from the field and 21-for-26 (.808 pct.) at the free throw line. In the contest against the District of Columbia Deans was a perfect 12-for-12 at the line which was a season high in both attempts and makes for the senior. She also averaged 5.0 rebounds with seven on Sunday.
Kinser (Greeneville, Tenn.) finished with a 12.0 scoring average after she scored a season-high 15 in the opener with a 3-for-3 effort from behind the 3-point line. She added games of 13 and eight points the next two contests and pulled in a season-high seven rebounds against Washington Adventist. Overall she was 13-for-21 (.619 pct) from the field and 6-for-8 (.750 pct) from behind the arc. She averaged 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest.
King went 2-1 in the three day event with the lone loss coming Sunday against Palm Beach Atlantic (Fla.) University. The Lady Tornado, now at 11-16, will play in the NCCAA Division I Mid-East Region Tournament March 11-12 in Lookout Mountain, Ga.
