BRISTOL, Tenn. – King College has added Cora Milliken to the 2011 signing class for the Lady Tornado softball squad.
Milliken comes from Jacksonville, Fla., where she played for Mandarin High School for Natalia Gonzalez for the last four seasons. Milliken, a middle infielder and outfielder, owns a .477 batting average with a .548 on-base percentage in 28 games.
She was an All-Conference selection this season after being an honorable mention in 2010.
For the Plantation Pressure travel team Milliken was a catcher to add to her versatility.
"Cora is a tremendous player and real steal for our growing program," King head coach Jenn Testa commented. "Her knowledge and experience behind the plate combined with her leadership abilities could be just what we need to compete at the top of the conference next season."
To go with the various positions in the field, Milliken adds a left-handed bat to the Lady Tornado lineup.
King ended the 2011 season at 13-27.
