King Softball earns national rankings

BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King College softball team has a Top-100 NCAA Division II Stat Ranking and four Top-25 NCCAA rankings in the newest reports released by the respective national offices.

Samantha Watts (Nashville, Tenn.) has a save which has her in a tie for No. 80 in the NCAA Division II category. Alex Lewis, from Alabama-Huntsville, leads NCAA Division II players with 11 saves on the season.

The Lady Tornado's 0.945 fielding percentage was No. 16 in the NCCAA standings.

Stephanie Mueller (Mt. Washington, Ky.) had been hit by a pitch 0.22 per game to share the No. 7 spot while teammate Tiffany Harris (Tazewell, Va.) was No. 23 in the same category with 0.13 among NCCAA players.

Mueller also has 0.3 doubles per game which was No. 22 in the NCCAA report.

King welcomes Roanoke (Va.) College to Bristol for a 2 p.m. doubleheader Saturday.
