BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University men's cross country runner Tanner Cook has added another award this season, being named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Runner of the Week. Cook finished 10th at the Greater Louisville Classic and set a personal record in the process.
The Abingdon, Va., posted his previous fastest 8k time of 25:41.00 in 2014 and he broke that by nearly 20 seconds on Saturday at the Greater Louisville Classic. He finished 10th with a time of 25:21.22, finishing within 40 seconds of the races champion. This marks Cook's first ECAC Runner of the Week award.
The Tornado will be in action again on Friday when they compete on Friday at the Queens Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
