Cook leads King, takes 2nd at Asheville XC Carnival

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – For the second straight week, Tanner Cook led the men's cross country team, this week at the Asheville XC Carnival. Cook finished second, leading the Tornado to a fifth place finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Cook turned in a solid performance, leading the race down the stretch until Dominic Collichio of UNC Asheville passed him to take first, giving Cook a second place finish with a time of 26:34.30.
  • James Russell Ballowe came in next with a time of 27:42.22, giving him a 20th place finish.
  • Coming is 24th was Charles Ramos with a time of 27:55.63.
  • Tyler Edwards and Chris Thomas rounded out the squad with times of 30:23.80 and 37:53.33.
