King Cross Country helps at Bristol Cross
BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King College cross country team went into the community Saturday by volunteering at the Bristol Cross event.
King helped at the event with set up and at the finish line. The Tornado and Lady Tornado athletes assisted the crew at the finish line by organizing the runners as they crossed the finish line to help Slipstream Timing. King athletes also aided the staff with awards by sorting medals and ribbons.
Both the Tornado and Lady Tornado squads are coached by Peter Dalton and the teams are currently ranked in the Top-10 of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast region.
Next on the schedule for King will be the deep and talented field at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Ky., at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
