BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University men's volleyball player Nick Serowski recently completed a stellar first season in the Scarlet and Navy, which earned him recognition from Conference Carolinas. Serowski was named to the All-Conference Carolinas third team when the conference announced the awards on Thursday.
The Moore, Okla., native was a force on the outside all season long for the Tornado, ranking among the league's leaders in kills all season long. At the conclusion of the regular season, the freshman ranked ninth in the league with 305 kills, and an average of 3.14 kills per set. Serowski proved valuable for the Tornado in all six rotations as he was one of three Tornado to eclipse the 100-dig plateau with 126 digs this season. His 54 total blocks, and six solo stuffs were good for third on the team.
The rookie started his career with a pair of impressive offensive performances, drilling a season-high 18 kills in each of his first two matches, a mark he hit only one more time throughout the season. He recorded his first career double-double in the third match of the year when he accounted for 13 kills and 10 digs in a win over Belmont Abbey College.
