King adds Casner to roster for 2012
BRISTOL, Tenn. – King College head men's volleyball coach Ryan Booher announced the addition of Mason Casner to the 2011 signing class.
Casner, a 6-foot-7 middle blocker, comes to King from Havre de Grace High School in Havre de Grace, Md. He has been on the varsity squad at Havre de Grace for four seasons where he was the team captain for the senior campaign. For his efforts Casner was an All-County selection in 2010 as a middle blocker after being on the squad a year earlier as an outside hitter.
He also played on the Havre de Grace basketball team for three seasons. Casner also participated within the AAU where his 16 and under team won a state championship.
Along with his prep career Casner played club volleyball in Yorktowne, Pa. last year.
In addition to the athletic abilities Casner has played the trombone. He has played with the jazz ensemble and symphonic band.
"I am looking forward to coaching Mason the next 4 years and am excited about the impact he will have on our volleyball team," Booher said about his newest addition.
He has earned spots on the honor roll numerous times while in high school.
King posted an 11-9 record this season which included a trip to the 2011 Conference Carolinas Championship match.
