Glenn earns Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week nod

HIGH POINT, N.C. - King College's Eric Glenn was the winner of the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week announced by the league office.

Glenn, a senior middle blocker from Portsmouth, Va., finished the week with 23 kills in 40 attempts and just two errors for a .525 hitting percentage in the Tornado's two conference victories. He started with 11 kills against Lees-McRae (N.C.) College on Tuesday in a five-set contest that moved the Tornado into second place in the league standings. Glenn followed that up with 12 kills at regular season champion Mount Olive (N.C.) College Friday to move King closer to a spot in the Conference Carolinas championship match. He also added nine total blocks in the two matches.

The 11 kills against Lees-McRae were a season high before the 12 at Mount Olive.

King wrapped up the regular season at 11-8 overall and 5-3 in league play. The Tornado wrapped up second place in the standings which will send King back to Mount Olive to play for the Conference Carolinas championship on April 21.

Glenn became the second Tornado player in program history to earn Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors joining James Friddle (Cartersville, Ga.) who won the honor on Feb. 9.
