King’s Friddle Named Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. - King College's James Friddle has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's volleyball Player of the Week during week number two in the 2011 season.

Friddle, a Cartersville, Ga. native, helped King to a come-from-behind win over Conference Carolinas foe Limestone (S.C.) College. The junior posted 19 kills, the most by a Tornado player this season. His previous season high was 14 kills in a four-set match against Missouri Valley. He was just one off his season high from 2010 in the kills category.

He is the first King player in program history to win the conference's weekly honor.

King, at 4-4 overall and 1-2 in league play, will host Pfeiffer (N.C.) University on Saturday, Feb. 19, for a 4 p.m. conference match.
