King Men’s and Women’s Cross Country named to USATFCCCA Academic All-American Team

The reigning Conference Carolina Cross Country Champions Lady Tornado, and the NCAA Div. II national qualifying Men's Tornado Cross Country team, have both been named to the USATFCCCA Academic All-American team.

For the third consecutive year, the Lady Tornado Cross Country team has garnered the highest honor in the nation academically. Placing all five members in the top 15 positions, in a field of 85 athletes at the Conference Carolina Cross Country Championship and on the All-Conference team athletically, the ladies once again represented King University in an exemplary manner.

The NCAA Division II National Championships qualifying Men's Tornado Cross Country was also named to the All-American academic team for the second consecutive year. The Conference Carolina runner-up squad, and 27th place team at the national championships, also got the job done in the classroom.

The USATFCCCA awards the Academic All-American honor to teams that have a cumulative 3.0 GPA and place in the top-3 at the conference championships, or the top-10 at the regional championships.
