BRISTOL, Tenn. – Prior to the start of the Conference Carolinas Tennis Tournament, the league announced their all-conference honorees at a banquet in Sumter, S.C. The King University doubles team of Mortiz Poswiat and Lennard Neumann earned all-conference accolades.
Poswiat earns all-conference honors for the third time in his career. He garnered first team accolades last season and third team recognition in 2014-15. Neumann earns all-conference honors for the first time in his career.
The duo of Poswiat and Neumann went 14-8 in doubles play, including 7-3 in league play and 10-6 at the top flight. In the fall, the tandem won five straight matches and this spring they won five straight Conference Carolinas matches. Early in the spring, Poswiat and Neumann earned an 8-6 win over Willy Hasselberg and Konstantin Dustmann of 31st-ranked Flagler College.
The fifth seeded Tornado take on fourth seed Barton College on Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Carolinas Tournament quarterfinals.
