King falls to #31 Flagler

SUMTER, S.C. – The King University men's tennis team faced one of the better teams in the region in Flagler College on Sunday. The Tornado held a lead after doubles, but fell to the 31st-ranked Saints 6-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • King took the first two flights of doubles as Moritz Poswiat and Lennard Neumann defeated Wily Hasselberg and Konstantin Dustmann 8-6 at the top flight.
  • At No. 2 doubles, Alejandro Feliciano and Lenny Keswani topped Luca Bolla and Daniel Arrien 9-8 (8-4) to put the Tornado ahead.
  • Poswiat then took his No. 2 singles match 6-2, 6-2 over Tomasso Bagon, giving King their third win of the match.
  • However, the Saints took the other five singles matches to take the dual 6-3.
