Lumb placed in charge of King Tennis squads

BRISTOL, Tenn. - Greg Lumb has been named interim men's and women's tennis coach at King College for the spring 2011 season.

Lumb moved up from an assistant coach role with the team to the interim position replacing Chris Bartlett. Lumb brings a Professional II certification from the United States Professional Tennis Association. He is also a part of the United States Professional Tennis Registry as an instructor for the last five years. Lumb has worked with local tennis pros at Glen Rochie, the Ridges, Ridgefields and the Country Club of Bristol during tennis seasons.

He played collegiate tennis at Milligan (Tenn.) College from 1993 to 1997. Lumb has kept his playing career going by competing through the Mountain Empire Tennis Association and other USTA events in the region.
