GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College's Patrick Jones was named the NCCAA Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week, the organization announced Friday.
Jones, a sophomore from Bluff City, Tenn., was a part of King's 9-0 season opening win over Emory & Henry (Va.) College last week. He won his No. 3 singles' match 6-2 and 6-2 after teaming up for a No. 2 doubles' victory of 8-0.
He was named a NCCAA Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week in February as well. Jones also was a NCCAA All-American as a freshman.
King, now at 2-0 after an 8-1 win at Bluefield (Va.) College on Tuesday, will be a part of the Mars Hill (N.C.) College Fall Invitational on Sept. 25.
