EMORY, Va. – The King University men's swimming team squared off against Milligan College on Friday night. The Tornado swam excellent versus the Buffaloes, winning the meet 105-62.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • In the 200 yard medley relay, King topped Milligan with a time of 1:55.65 seconds.
  • Austin Jameson finished in first place with an 800 meter freestyle time of 10:54.92 seconds and Wayne Bilancione placed second with a time of 10:58.82 seconds.
  • Trey Doss had a time of 2:08.95 seconds in the 200 meter freestyle to place first.
  • In the 50 meter freestyle event, Aleksander Stosik finished in second place with a time of 25.82 seconds and Tyler Brewster placed fourth with a 26.45 second time.
  • Juan Somoza finished with a time of 2:15.58 seconds, placing first and Tanner Espersen had a time of 2:22.41 seconds to place second.
  • In the 100 meter butterfly event, Brewster placed in second with a time of 1:04.18 seconds.
  • In the 100 meter freestyle event, Stosik placed second with a time of 56.71 seconds and Zac Stout finished in third place with a time of 1:00.11 seconds.
  • Somoza placed first with a time of 1:01.70 seconds in the 100 meter backstroke.
  • In the 400 meter freestyle event, Doss had a time of 4:40.80 seconds to take first place and Ethan DeRouis placed second with a time of 5:03.05 seconds.
  • In the 100 meter backstroke, Lucas Marodin placed second with a time of 1:25.35 seconds.
  • The Tornado swam the 200 meter freestyle event with a time of 1:48.94 seconds.

  • King will be in action again on February 4th when they swim at Union College in Barboursville, Kentucky. The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
