King splits pair of meets at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. – The King University women's swimming team returned to the pool on Friday split a pair of meets at Milligan College. The Tornado defeated the host Buffaloes 108-67 and fell to St. Andrews University 127-62.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The 200 meter relay team of Tyler Brewster, Ethan DeRouis, Zac Stout and Trey Doss, finished third in a time of 1:43.86.
  • Austin Jameson and Lucas Marodin finished third and fourth in the 800 meter freestyle with Jameson finishing in 10:47.21 and Marodin coming at 12:06.39.
  • Tanner Espersen finished third in the 200 meter individual medley with a time of 2:22.08 and Wayne Bilancione took fifth with a time of 2:50.90.
  • In the 50 meter freestyle, Aleksander Stosik finished second with a time of 25.17 seconds. Stout followed, finishing fourth with a time of 26.44 seconds and Brewster finished sixth with a time of 26.67 seconds. Marodin rounded out the squad with a time of 28.13 seconds to take seventh.
  • Jameson led three Tornado in the 400 meter freestyle, finishing third in a time of 5:04.74. DeRois came in four with a time of 5:08.07 and Bilancione took fifth with a time of 5:34.76.
  • Stosik won the 100 meter freestyle with a time of 55.54 seconds and Doss finished in 58.00 seconds to take fourth.
  • In the 100 meter backstroke, Espersen finished third with a time of 1:03.95 and Jameson took sixth with a time of 1:16.01.
  • Marodin finished fifth in the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:24.17 and Bilancione finished second in the 100 meter butterfly with a time of 1:10.38.
  • Doss took third in the 200 meter freestyle with a time of 2:08.22 and DeRouis finished in 2:21.67 to take sixth.
  • The 200 meter medley relay team of Stosik, Espersen, Brewster and Stout finished second in a time of 1:55.62.
