Tornado compete at Conference Carolinas meet

GAFFNEY, S.C. – The King University men's swimming & diving team faced the other Conference Carolinas member schools on Friday at the Conference Carolinas meet hosted by Limestone College. The Tornado finished third in the three-team meet with five points.

Jacob Morales scored two points for the Tornado in the 50 yard butterfly as he took fourth place in a time of 25.98 seconds. Taylor Horton also scored one point in the same event with a time of 26.38 to finish fifth.

Nicholas Piumelli and Reynold Thibideau also scored points for the Tornado as Thibideau finished fifth in the 50 yard backstroke, and Piumelli placed fifth in the 100 yard breast stroke. Thibideau finished in a time of 27.64 seconds while Piumelli finished in 1:03.67.

King will be in action again on Thursday when they travel to Milligan College. The meet is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
