BRISTOL, Tenn. – Prior to the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship semifinals, the league handed out their all-conference awards. Two players from King University were recognized as Eli Carrasco and Faber Bickerstaffe were named third team all-conference.
Carrasco had a stellar senior season for the Tornado, earning third team all-conference for the third straight season. The Atlanta, Ga., native posted a career-high eight goals to go along with four assists on the season. The eight goals ranked him 11th in Conference Carolinas. Carrasco posted two goals in the season-opener against Brevard College and added his second career multi-goal game at Alabama-Huntsville. Two of his eight goals were game-winners, both coming in 1-0 victories. The first over Belmont Abbey College and the other against Erskine College. He also posted two assists against the University of Mount Olive.
Bickerstaffe earns all-conference honors for the first time in his career, garnering third team recognition. The Morges, Switzerland tallied three goals and four assists on the season from his midfield position, both career-highs. He tallied a pair of goals and an assist in an 8-1 win over North Greenville University, his first career multi-goal game. He scored his first career goal, a game-winner in the 68th minute of a 2-1 win over Mars Hill University.
The Tornado finished the seas 6-12 when the fell to eight-ranked Limestone College in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship.
