INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - King College's Tom Winspear maintained four NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Top-25 stat rankings, with another Tornado in the Top-20 and a team Top-50 ranking, the organization announced Wednesday.
Winspear, a Yarm, England native, ranks 15th in goals per game with 0.82. He also owned the No. 19 spot in total goals with 14. Winspear's 1.88 points per game was good enough for No. 20 while his 32 total points ranked No. 22. The leader in all four categories was Kyle Cilliento, from Grand Canyon (Ariz.) University. He has 55 points, 25 goals, 1.39 goals per game and 3.06 points per game.
Richard Masters (Kent, England) climbed up to the No. 19 ranking in save percentage at .824, a 11-spot improvement from last week. He was just outside the Top-50 in saves per game at No. 58 with 4.69.
King ranked No. 49 in save percentage with a .795 mark. Missouri S&T led the nation with a .892 percentage. A week ago King was at No. 56 in the category.
The Tornado ended the regular season Saturday with a 2-0 win at North Greenville (S.C.) University. King, at 5-11-1, starts the NCCAA Mid-East Region Tournament Thursday as the No. 3 seed against No. 6 seed Tennessee Temple in Bristol at 3 p.m.
