FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – The King University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate on Tuesday, and finished 13th of 15 teams at the event. The Tornado posted a round three score of 303, and a tournament score of 903.
Ross Maietta led King in the final round with his score of one-under par 70. Maietta posted a pair of birdies on each the front and back nines en route to his 70. For the tournament, he finished with a score of 227. Leennawat Numpituckchaikul was next with his final round of 75. He narrowly missed the top-10 as he finished 11th with a tournament score of 217.
Mathias Bunaes turned in a consistent tournament as he closed with a 77 in the final round to finish 32nd with a tournament score of 225. Jake Stone and John Scott rounded out the squad, shooting 81 and 82, respectively in the final round. Stone finished with a tournament score of 238 and Scott at 240.
Lincoln Memorial University won the tournament with a team score of 860 while Flagler University placed second at 861. Flaglers' Spencer Schindler was the tournament's individual medalist with a score of 11-under 202.
King will be in action again on March 3-4 at the Richard Randleman Invitational in Salisbury, N.C.
