Scott Fires 66, King Surges to 7th Place Finish

King bounced back with a solid 10 over par 294 on day two to surge to a 7th place finish at the Richard Rendelman Invitational in North Carolina this week. John Scottled the surge on day two with a 5-under par 66, the low round of the tournament.

Senior Richard Powell led the team at the halfway mark with a hard fought 73 on the par 71 course. Powell followed up Mondays round with a 75 on Tuesday.

Sophomore John Scott and freshman Leenawat Numpituckchaikul  endured a rough first round on Monday, firing a pair of 78s. Both improved on the second day - Scott with a 5 under total of 66 leaving him T-4th individually. And Numptituckchaikul with a 3 over par 74.

Sophomore Ross Maietta finished with rounds of 75 and 79. While Sophomore Taylor Gouge finished with 77 and 84.

The team will next hit the road for the Barton Intercollegiate in NC on March 18-19.
