GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College's Adrian Kibsey was recognized as the NCCAA Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week, the national office announced.
Kibsey, a junior from Winnipeg, Canada, led the Tornado at the O'Briant Memorial last week. He tied for 13th in a field of over 80 golfers with his two-round total of 151, 11-over-par.
His effort helped King to a fourth-place finish in the team standings to close out the fall portion of the season. Kibsey shot the low round for King on the opening day with a 77 and then added a 74 on day two.
He is the second Tornado player to win the NCCAA Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week award this season, joining Josh Bamberger (Waterloo, Canada) who won the honor on Sept. 29.
King will start the spring schedule in February.
