Tornado play into fourth after Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate opening round

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. - King College opened the 2010 Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate Monday with a team score of 304 which has the Tornado in fourth place.

The Tornado squad is just a shot behind UNC Pembroke. Coker (S.C.) College owns the team lead after the first 18 holes thanks to a 295 while Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University has second thanks to a 296.

King got a two-over-par 73 from newcomer Adrian Kibsey (Winnipeg, Canada). Kibsey is tied for fifth in the individual standings. Nick Carden (Hixson, Tenn.) and his 74 are tied for seventh. Travis Snyder (Fayetteville, Ga.) posted a 76 while Tommy Ricker (Parrottsville, Tenn.) contributed an 81.

Jordan Walor, from UNC Pembroke, owns the individual lead after his one-under-par 70 Monday. Lincoln Memorial's Dustin Louth carded a 71 to own second by himself.

The Sea Trail Golf Resort played as a Par-71 at 6,761 yards.

Final round action is scheduled to start Tuesday morning.
