GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College's Josh Bamberger was the NCCAA Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week award winner, as announced by the national office.
Bamberger, a junior from Waterloo, Canada, has won the weekly honor three times this year with the last coming two weeks ago.
He posted his third Top-5 in six events this season with a fifth-place finish at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Spring Invitational last week. He started with a two-over-par 74 on Monday to enter Tuesday's final round in second. Bamberger finished with a 76 which moved him to fifth, a shot outside of a three-way tie for second. His two-day total of 150 helped King to a second-place finish in the team standings.
Next for King will be the Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, N.C., March 7-8.
