Top-50 national ranking for Tornado Golf squad

BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King College men's golf team has moved into the Top-50 of the Golfstat NCAA Division II head-to-head standings at No. 48.

The Tornado owns a 70.8 winning percentage against NCAA Division II foes so far in the 2010-11 season. The percentage has King ranked 14th among Southeast Region teams. Georgia Southwestern was right ahead of King at No. 46 in the country with a 71.6 winning percentage.

Atop the national standing was Western Washington with a 93.6 winning percentage. The highest team from the region was Barton (N.C.) College at No. 10 nationally with a winning percentage of 88.5.

King will travel to the Tusculum Invitational this weekend in Greeneville, Tenn. The event features 20 teams including three Top-50 teams, King, No. 35 Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University and No. 45 Tusculum.
