Sanders joined the Tornado staff in November of 2020 following a stint at Melvindale High School.

Most recently he was on the coaching staff at Melvindale High School while also training area high school players through his organization Chasing the Dream. He also gained experience coaching with the Woodz Elite Basketball program in Georgia.

Prior to his most recent stint, Sanders played for Gillespie at Reinhardt University and also served as a student assistant coach after his playing days while completing his degree. On the court, Sanders earned first team All-Appalachian Athletic Conference his senior season and was honored as AAC Player of the Week on two occasions.

During his junior season, he helped his team to a national tournament appearance while garnering an AAC all-defensive team honors. That year, his team also set the school record for most wins in a single season in school history competing at the NAIA level. His playing career started at Wayne County Community College in Detroit before making his way to Reinhardt in Georgia.

He graduated from Reinhardt in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies while minoring in Business.
